On a trip, in the mountains, yes I was backpacking, no idea where I would spend the night. But that was actually the intention. I wanted something adventurous, to clear my head. The past two years have been tough.
Divorced, building a new life, met someone, but it didn't add up. Resetting my mind, that's what I was going for, and of course making new memories. Just on an adventure! No expectations, because by now I had learned not to have them. And I went on a trip, my trip. What a beautiful country and the nature, breathtaking. I was lost in it.
Day four of my trip, I had quite a few kilometers ahead of me and the sun was shining when I woke up. Quickly had breakfast at the guesthouse and prepared lunch for the day. Off, enjoying wrestling over branches and unpaved roads. The picture seemed to come straight out of a book. After walking for an hour or so, I had to arrange a place to sleep. Further on was a small hotel and I was also ready for a fresh shower. First, sit down and have a cold drink and then it happened.
Completely unexpected, a man who struck me like a lightning bolt. Boom! I was in love. I wasn't planning to fall in love, is that even possible, at first sight of a person? Wow, these feelings, everything went quickly through my mind. My heart was pounding and ppppfff he looked at me. Casually with a beer, he (Peter) sat with his friends and a friendly smile too. He asked me where is your journey going? Without realizing it, I met love, because that's how it felt, the love of my life. We talked for hours, time flew by and now we are a couple. Yes, this was a trip to never forget.
So totally unexpected we ran into the love of our lives. We have been together for half a year now and share joys and sorrows.
